You may be thinking that this will be a blog from a 21 year old. Well stop right there because I haven’t seen my twenties for a long time.
I’m a fourtysomething woman with 3 grown up children who have all left home. Yay!!!! Yes I’m being perfectly honest here but I am glad they have left. I love my children but I am so glad they are living their own lives now. I have done the school run, homework at 8am on the kitchen table because someone forgot to practise for their test. Baking cakes at 11pm for the school fair/charity event the next day, making fancy dress costumes out of bin bags (again because they didn’t tell me until we are about to walk out of the door) Going to work with toothpaste on my top, clothes inside out and trying to juggle my life around the kids with a man that was basically useless (who has also gone!) And any job I could take to work around every one. Yes I am very happy they have grown up and left!
This is why I have decided to start this blog. I actually have time to do it!
I’m a complete foodie, loves music, anything to do with art or crafts, and have recently bought a sewing machine to try and make my own clothes ( however I can’t knit, crochet, draw or paint to save my life) and am becoming slightly grumpy in my old age. ( I think I’m turning into my mum!)
I have recently discovered a love of Gin and Wine, and fighting an ever loosing battle with my weight and I’m useless at DIY which will no doubt become apparent, as I have not had to do it before until now. This will be fun 🙁
